I think it is safe to say that at some point we have all felt empty inside. Maybe from being lonely or maybe even from a lack of self-love.
What gets us into these dark places?
Is it past relationships? Is it our childhood or is it insecurities?
I think it is our daily interactions.
From the time we wake up to the time we go to bed, it that shapes the way we feel and think about ourselves.
If you have a good foundation of self-worth; the daily interactions I mention above will not define you.
Say I am out at a party with my friends and they all get approached by people wanting to dance with them except me. If I have confidence and I am secure, that moment will not define me.
If I lack self-confidence, that moment will replay in my head and shape the way I think and feel about myself.
Emptiness starts with you. You set the standards for you.
Learn your value and your self-worth.
Do not allow others to define “your worth”.
Appreciate the little things about yourself.
Your voice, your lips, your eyes and ultimately, the skin you are in.
Eventually you will learn to not feel empty because you have the most important person in the world loving you. A.K.A YOU!
A Beautiful You!
